part of the Willcox Research Group at the Oden Institute for Computational Engineering and Sciences, I combine different <strong>uncertainty quantification<\/strong> methods in a framework for digital twins. I am particularly interested in <strong>inverse problems<\/strong>, <strong>multi-fidelity approximations<\/strong>, and <strong>optimal experimental design<\/strong>. With my background in <strong>reduced basis methods<\/strong> branching off to non-intrusive <strong>operator inference<\/strong>, I closely follow the developments of <strong>model order reduction<\/strong> methods and <strong>physics-based machine learning<\/strong>. I am always interested to collaborate with other researchers and explore challenges and ideas across disciplines.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-413a3ca elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"413a3ca\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h1 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Biography<\/h1>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-e281f88 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"e281f88\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>After finishing my master&#8217;s degree in mathematics at RWTH Aachen University, supervised by Prof. Martin Grepl, I started as a doctoral fellow in Prof. Karen Veroy&#8217;s research group at the Aachen Institute for Advanced Studies in Computational Engineering Science (AICES) and joined the International Research Training Group &#8220;Modern Inverse Problems&#8221; (IRTG MIP) as soon as it opened. In my research project, I developed reduced basis techniques for the efficient approximation of variational data assimilation methods under flexible model configurations. As part of my training at IRTG MIP, I was elected inaugural student representative of the IRTG, and treaserer and later vice president of the SIAM student chapter. Moreover, I advised master students, and visited the Oden Institute as part of Prof. Tan Bui-Thanh&#8217;s group for 6 months. In 2021 I joined the Willcox Research Group as a Research Fellow to work with Prof. Karen Willcox on operator inference and digital twins. In December 2022, I was awarded my PhD title with distinction\u00a0(Dr.rer.nat., &#8220;mit Auszeichnung&#8221;) by the Department of Mathematics at RWTH Aachen University, and was promoted to Postdoctoral Fellow. Throughout my time at the Oden Institute, I have held the Peter O&#8217;Donnell Jr. Postdoc Fellowship, and was elected inaugural postdoc chair of the &#8220;Graduate and Postdoctoral Women of the Oden Institute&#8221; group.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-f667dac elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"f667dac\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h1 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Awards<\/h1>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-ddfec72 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"ddfec72\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>For the two years studying for my master&#8217;s degree, I received the Dean&#8217;s List Award for the top 5% of students in the Mathematics Master program at RWTH Aachen University. In 2019 I won the student poster competition at USNCCM15 in the category &#8220;Mathematical Methods&#8221;. In 2020, I was a finalist for the BGCE &#8220;Best student paper&#8221; prize. \u00a0In 2022, I was selected as &#8220;Rising Star&#8221; in Computational Science and Engineering. In 2023, I was awarded the Borscher&#8217;s Badge for my PhD thesis.
